and My Thoughts on High Street Handbags

I have always loved Topshop shoes, I would go as far as to say that they are possibly one of my favourite to shop on the high street. Their price point is good and unlike stores like Aldo, and even Zara at times, Topshop has a really good selection of shoes that are actually genuine leather. Those that aren’t real leather I find are priced accordingly and so I feel less cheated if I ever decide to opt for a pair of non-leather shoes. Having said that, the variety of shoes I always find so impressive and if I’m ever shopping the high street for shoes Topshop will be the shop I browse first.

In terms of handbags though, I have always been a bit of a bag snob and have never really shopped the high street for handbags till now. My first high street handbag I purchased was just a month or so ago, my acrylic tortoise shell finish handbag from Topshop. Prior to that I had not purchased a handbag for three years, the last being my Dolce and Gabbana Miss Sicily bag. Resigning from my job meant there was just no way I could keep up that kind of spending, so I just decided I had been priced out of handbag shopping!

I had never even considered the high street as an option and was actually quite happy with my handbag collection. However, I realised as I started to develop a more simple style that I needed new handbags not only to update my current handbag collection, but to change up my jeans and a t-shirt looks. Since discovering Topshop’s bag selection I am honestly completely blown away by the variety of styles.
I will always opt for my Mum a Porter bag for quality and design, and of course my luxury bag collection. However when I am in need of a little more style than substance, for something a little more fun or that bit more trend-led and experimental, Topshop has become my handbag go to.
There’s currently 20% off handbags and shoes at Topshop!!! Hope you like the edit! x
