Well, I will start by saying this, not all leather trousers are made equal and not all bodies are the same – which means finding the perfect pair of leather trousers can cost you either time or money. I hope this edit will help to save you on one or the other, so you can find yourself the best pair of pleather trousers money can buy on the high street!
So in total I tried and reviewed eight pairs of leather trousers, that you will see on my YouTube video coming up soon if not published already. Each pair was different, whether it be different colours, style, shape, fastening etc and I will tell you this, the only the pairs that were comfortable were those that were too big for me! The ones that looked good though, were of course the sexier ones! The ones that were tighter, that I struggled not to pinch my skin if they had a zip fastening, that rolled down when I sat down in them and had to be hiked up with great effort to get over my derriere. BUT, like I say, looked damn good!

The most secure of leather pants has to be those that have a reinforced waist band, are high waisted, have a draw string or are belted or tied at the waist. You can trust that these will not be showing off your thong when you sit down a la early noughties and can be secured in place if you feel like you need that bit of extra security. The tapered Marks and Spencer pair are a particular favourite of mine, you can never fault M&S for their quality and if you’re in the market for a smarter pair of leather trousers that you might wear in the place of a pair of tailored trousers as opposed to jeans then I really recommend these.

If you’re after a slightly edgier pair, a pleather jogger is a good way to go. I am not a massive fan of drawstring and was concerned that a leather jogger might bulk me out at the hip, but it’s all about getting the right tuck with whatever garment you are wearing on the upper body. For my style, a leather jogger certainly needs to be worn with a heel, I am not about trying to wear any sort of jogging bottom as an actual jogging bottom, but dressed up with a heel and you have certainly got yourself a vibe! However, it’s the tan seam front pair from H&M that are my absolute favourite pair – they took some wearing-in, but the colour is amazing and works so well with the colour palette of the season and also tan and black is just so slick I love it! If the skinny leather trouser is still your thing and experimenting with all of these different styles and shapes is just way too time consuming for you, then up your leather trouser game with a new colour, khaki green, tan or burgundy are great colours to easily work into your wardrobe.
