Who knew that not everybody loves a cowboy boot?! Regardless whether the cowboy boot is an autumn winter 2022 trend, there are people that are cowboy boot adverse, like they might be to marmite or milk! Love marmite, hate milk! I guess I’m a little bit concerned about anyone who claims to love fashion but doesn’t love a cowboy boot. I would argue that they don’t love this particular style of boot because they aren’t aware of all the styling possibilities that comes with a cowboy boot and the myriad of variations in which they are designed.

A friend once said to me, she couldn’t imagine wearing a cowboy boot and not feeling like she were in fancy dress. All I could think was, she’s missing the whole point and subsequently, she’s missing out! Fashion would have it that cowboy boots aren’t intended to be styled alongside other Western accoutrement. Wearing a cowboy with a cowboy hat, fringing, chaps and a denim waistcoat isn’t what it’s about. That interpretation is way too literal, and in fact, I would advise to go the opposite way, particularly if you’re only just dipping your metal capped toe into the trend. Keep it smart, keep it simple, black leggings and a black polo, an oversized blazer and some good black leather cowboy boots is all you need to look sharp and thanks to the cowboy boot, a little bit edgy too!
The thing is, you can mostly style your cowboy boots just like you might style your classic black boots, (and I really do mean MOSTLY), because of course it all depends on which style of cowboy boot you go for. However, in most cases the styling is not that much different, BUT the vibe it adds to an outfit is next level. It just ups the ante that bit more and in my humble opinion, if styled correctly, offers up a whole lot more fashion kudos.
