  • Gift Guide: Christmas Gift Ideas Under £50 for Stylish Ladies

christmas gift guide for her under £50

Christmas certainly isn’t about the gifts we buy or receive, but I absolutely love the process of shopping for Christmas and finding those little gems that I know someone will love. Gifts can be personal or they can be that very thing that person never knew they needed. I don’t think gifts need to be particularly functional, nor do they need to be expensive, they just need to be little tokens, small, but special or from a brand I know they love.

For the super trendy, beauty savvy ladies in my life, I am loving the idea of silk scrunchies, quartz rollers, extra special phone cases and some super cool lurex socks to be worn with sandals. For scrunchies, Slip is such a gorgeous brand that packages their scrunchies perfectly for Christmas gifts and the fact that it’s a scrunchy that is considerate of the health of the hair as well as it’s beauty makes it the perfect Christmas gift. Of course, any luxurious scrunchy will do and if inexpensive then they make an ideal stocking filler.

I always love to buy my parents a room spray and a candle at Christmas – I feel like it’s the least I can do considering me and my little family go and set up camp in their home for a week! Of course my parent’s don’t NEED a room spray, and let’s be honest, almost everyone has some form of air freshening system in their homes, whether it’s candles, an air wick plug-in, a diffuser or just some god old fashioned air freshener, but these are the perfect host gifts at Christmas. Marks and Spencer scents, candles and sprays are pretty inexpensive and still look really good, but for Christmas, just like everyone, I love The White Company and if I am feeling particularly flush then Jo Malone, Dyptique and Ortigia are firm favourites and are always on my Christmas wishlist!

Each and every year Christian and I get PJs from The White Company that we basically live in from Boxing Day to New Years Eve. We don’t sleep in them – we always get the extra thick kind that we lounge about in till bed time! Good PJs at Christmas are paramount and nothing says Christmas like The White Company and luckily their sales always start pretty early, so the gift of Christmas in the form of a pair of The White Company PJs is always a winner in my books. Admittedly this is an edit for under £50, so maybe skip the generic T-shirt and go for the bottoms only – who cares about the tee anyway?

Gloves and scarves, hair and beauty tools and stationary I find to be pretty safe gifts too. I don’t particularly love giving silk scarves because I find that even I struggle to get any use out of my own silk scarf – and it’s from Dolce and Gabbana! If I am not wearing that then that’s saying something! But a good quality, stylish and functional scarf someone will actually wear, in a colour of the season or a colour I know someone will love is more my approach. The lilac scarf from And Other Stories definitely has my name on it! I don’t have any lilac in my wardrobe, but I am hoping to rectify that in the Boxing day sales!

I have absolutely no doubt that most of you will already be well on your way with your Christmas shopping and no doubt you’ll be thinking the same for me, but I don’t start my Christmas shopping till this Christmas Gift Guide is done! I am from a very female dominated family so this gift guide is essentially a very extreme version of my very own Christmas shopping list. It’s got me inspired and if you’re as last minute as me, then I hope it will inspire you too x
